Excellent service, good pricing and prompt deliveries. The only thing I would like to see for 100% ease of use would be an automated online print preview of submitted artwork prior to placing orders. This is something competitors offer and is really useful to have.

My mother passed away on March 30th, and since then, life has been a whirlwind of emotion and stress. Her funeral is on Monday 24th. I wanted the Order of Service to be perfect in her memory, as it's one of the last things I'd ever be able to do for her. After researching various printing services, I contacted DigitalPrinting.co.uk. They promised that if I submitted the Order of Service by Wednesday 6pm, they'd dispatch it on Thursday for a Friday delivery. So I worked tirelessly to create something my mother would be proud of. Many late hours of designing, overthinking typefaces, getting feedback from family, tweaking, colour correcting and more overthinking. But I got it done in time and placed my order. True to their word, 140 booklets arrived on Friday. My first impression was great—quality print, lovely paper stock, and even Haribo sweets! But then I noticed the centre pages were folded and inserted backwards. An honest mistake, but disappointing nonetheless. I contacted them through the live chat on the site and they admitted their error. They promised to reprint the job and take extra care to ensure it was correct this time. They even offered a refund on the "express" fee and a discount on my next print job. Top-notch customer service, right? Saturday morning, the reprinted booklets arrived. The inner pages were folded correctly—phew! But wait... Page 2 now had the content for the back cover. And the last two pages were now blank. I couldn't believe it. And of course, they're closed for the weekend. With no other option, we now have to remove the 280 staples from the first batch, fold the inner pages the correct way, and re-staple. I've had to order a booklet stapler from Amazon, and we're praying it arrives tomorrow. My family and I are already overwhelmed with funeral preparations, and now we have to deal with DigitalPrinting.co.uk's lack of quality control. How can prints be sent out with incorrect page orders? How can a reprint job be worse than the original? From the same print file! I am beyond livid.

Hi James Thanks for your review. I am very sorry for the issues you have encountered - this is not the standard we wish to produce. I fully understand that this was already a very difficult time for you and we did not wish to add to this for you. We do always wish to resolve issues, as with over 1000 jobs a day there will be an error on occasion but after the issue with the first print there should have been stronger checks, and we will investigate why this did not happen. I used DPI for what should have been a fairly straightforward job - printing a small “art book”. Multiple (preventable) errors/damages were found on nearly every copy of the perfect-bound books that I ordered. Significant scratches, ink marks/registration lines, poor cropping lines, borders appearing on black pages, glue breaking off from the spine, etc. DPI’s customer service was excellent (and accommodating), as I spoke with several people who offered to reprint my order to ensure that these errors were corrected. The original order was reprinted, and despite added “quality control” - this batch was returned with similar issues. After 4 reprints, (the first two being small test batches), I was left with a pile of books that are completely unusable. When I saw that approximately 75% of the final lot exhibited the same damages, I gave up trying to contact customer service about the issue, as it was clear that this was going to keep happening. I am aware that there is only so much quality control that can be carried out in print houses, but it seems like there was absolutely no communication between the customer service reps that I spoke with and the printers. A more thorough check would have prevented an unnecessary number of reprints and wasted time on both ends.

Hi Rebecca, Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback on the order. I have had a look over the history of your order and have to agree that this is unacceptable. I can see you did get a reprint of your first order and you mentioned you were happy with it which led to you ordering again with us. On the 2nd order, it is clear we dropped the ball again, the finishing of the books was down to excess glue and the scratches caused by the solid black ink on the silk stock. There has been no communication from you about the last order we printed. I am going to get in touch with you to have a chat about it as we are unaware that they arrived in an unacceptable condition again. I will speak with you soon to get this sorted for you. Very fast and efficient service. They contacted me when my perfect bound book would've cut off some of the artwork in the margins, and gave me the option to edit it so that the artwork wouldn't leak into the margin. They were very helpful and the service is super speedy. Couldn't fault! As a student I have recommended this site other students and will definitely use them again!

Awesome service ! I'd left the creation of my banners until the last minute and needed them the next day. I placed the order about 10:30 and banners were despatched by 5pm and with me early the next day. There was a hefty courier charge of course but time was the important thing and when I called checking progress staff were extremely helpful and made extra sure my banners were with me on time.

As a Graphic Designer I have been very wary of using online printing companies in the past. I used Digital Printing when I was up-against it to produce a 32 page booklet and a vinyl banner to a very tight deadline. The ordering process and artwork upload was easy to use and their customer service is fabulous. I made an error when submitting the incorrect artwork online. I was able to contact Prepress immediately from the clear concise instructions on the confirmation order I received via email and rectified the situation without any fuss. The Digital Printing Team - Jeff and Terry in particular, were extremely helpful, patient and dealt with my error with good humour, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The end product as always was superb.

There should be a "fantastic/excellent" star rating. As a complete technophobe with absolutely no idea what the difference is between laminated 100g single side outer cover and a bus I'd put off ordering a spiral bound booklet for weeks. The website made getting a quote and ordering a doddle - thought I'd made a mistake when the price came up - couldn't believe it was so little. Had to make a call to a very nice man who didn't laugh or tut when I asked what must have been completely ridiculous questions - he was brilliant. Books arrived yesterday, well packed and just what I wanted! Excellent quality - cannot recommend enough. Thank you for making someone with the artistic flair and computer knowledge of my budgie look clever and very happy :-)
